OneMusic publishes its rates, so this page has no estimates — only their numbers, ours, and a calculator. Short version: a café seating 7–15 pays A$963.58 a year for background music before subscribing to any music service. Oktava replaces both lines with A$290 a year.

Background Music for Retail & Service Providers — OneMusic's official rate card (January 2026), annual fees incl. GST, tariff period 1 Sep 2025 – 31 Aug 2026. Silver Lite and Bronze have a single tier for everything over 5,000 m². OneMusic's own worked example: a 38 m² hair salon on a streaming service pays the Gold 1–50 m² rate — A$641.94 a year.

OneMusic publishes some rates as documents and some only through its own calculator. Where a figure isn't public, the table says so instead of guessing. Venues that avoid PPCA repertoire (Partial Rights Music) get 48.25% off the figures above — that's OneMusic's discount for their own licensees, on their own repertoire.
Why Oktava isn't in these tables
OneMusic licenses the combined repertoire of APRA AMCOS and PPCA, and the tables above price access to that repertoire. The Oktava catalog is original work the service creates itself and sits outside both, so there is no OneMusic category for it: for our catalog, there is nothing to license. The named certificate and the playback log in your dashboard document exactly that.
The scope matters. If you also play radio, TV, Spotify or live music, OneMusic still applies to that — the exemption is about what's actually playing, not about your venue as such. Many venues keep it simple: Oktava on the speakers, nothing else.

What's the catch with "outside the repertoire"?
The promise is catalogue-scoped: no license is needed for the Oktava catalog, because it isn't in the APRA AMCOS or PPCA repertoire. The moment radio or Spotify comes on, OneMusic's tables apply again. Your playback log shows which of the two is true in your venue.
Does the 48% PPCA-free discount apply to Oktava?
No — it's OneMusic's discount for their own licensees who avoid PPCA repertoire. Oktava venues don't need the OneMusic license at all for our catalog, so there's nothing to discount.
