Pay less

One subscription replaces the authors' part of the society fees and a music service. Where a neighbouring-rights levy applies, it remains payable.

Applies to the Oktava catalogue. Other music sources — radio, TV, streaming — are licensed separately.

How our catalog is made →

Composed in-house

Tracks are generated with AI music tools, then selected, edited and mastered by our team — every track is made for Oktava and enters no society's register.

Archived and tagged

Every track lands in the archive with genre, mood and tempo — that is what keeps each channel coherent.

Curated into channels

Editors assemble channels for calm mornings, busy afternoons and lively evenings. Pick one per location or set a schedule.

One subscription per location

What is included and how billing works

Every feature is included in the one price — there are no tiers to compare. The subscription covers the full catalog with all channels, a certificate issued to your legal entity with QR verification, the staff memo, an append-only playback log with CSV export, and a player that keeps playing offline on any device with a browser. The same price replaces both the society fees and a music service subscription: the catalog is outside society repertoires, so nothing extra is owed for the music. Each location gets its own player link and its own line in the subscription; the annual plan adds two months free, and networks get a discount automatically at checkout — 10% per location from two locations, 20% from five. The trial lasts 7 days with no card, and you can cancel anytime — the paid period stays yours.

Questions owners actually ask

Is it really legal to play Oktava without paying the societies?

Yes — for our catalog. Collecting societies can only charge for works from their repertoire: their mandate comes from the authors and producers who registered with them, and it does not extend to all music. The Oktava catalog is music we produce with AI tools, and it is not registered with any society — authors' or neighbouring-rights — so there is nothing in it for a society to bill. That is the entire legal construction, and it is why the subscription ships with proof: a certificate issued to your legal entity with QR verification, and an append-only playback log showing that your location plays only the Oktava catalog. Radio, Spotify or your own playlists are a different case: they play repertoire works, so they do require a society license. What matters is what comes out of the speakers — as long as the player runs our catalog, no society fee applies to your music.

Is this AI-generated music?

Yes — made with AI tools, selected and mastered by our team, and registered with no collecting society. We're happy to walk you through how it's made: see “How our catalog is made”. The legal position doesn't depend on hiding anything — it depends on the catalog staying outside society repertoires, which is exactly what the certificate documents.

I got a letter from a collecting society. What do I do?

Reply that your location plays the Oktava catalog, and attach the certificate plus a playback log export. A ready reply template is in the dashboard. Societies can only claim payment for their repertoire — your documents show it isn't being played.

Why can't I just play Spotify?

Spotify is designed for personal listening. Its consumer subscription does not permit playback in a business. Oktava provides a catalogue and player for venues; any mandatory local levies remain payable.

Can I play well-known hits through Oktava?

No. The player only plays Oktava's own catalog — that is exactly what keeps it outside society repertoires and makes the certificate possible. If your concept depends on chart hits or a specific artist, you need society licenses, and Oktava isn't the right fit.

What if the internet goes down?

The player caches its channel ahead of time and keeps playing offline. Playback events queue locally and sync when the connection returns — the log stays complete.

I have several locations.

Each location gets its own player link and its own line in the subscription. Pricing is per location; excluding a location reduces the next charge automatically.

Can I cancel?

Anytime, from the dashboard. The subscription runs to the end of the paid period; after that the certificate is marked inactive on its public verification page.

Which countries does Oktava work in?

Oktava is sold in 20 countries — the certificate and country documents are issued for yours, and prices are set per country. Italy isn't supported, Denmark and Finland aren't available yet. The full list is at the bottom of this page.

Every track is original and created by the service — it is not declared to any collecting society. Where national law provides for a neighbouring-rights levy payable regardless of repertoire, that levy remains the venue's. If anyone ever asks, the paperwork is one click away.
