First coffee
Try a relaxed selection while the first orders come in. Leave enough room for the person ordering and the barista to hear each other.
Start with these calmer previews. Compare them against conversation and the sounds of your coffee machine, not just through headphones.
The espresso machine, the lunch queue and an evening conversation all share one room. Choose background music around those sounds. Start with a calm channel, then check it from a guest’s seat before opening the doors.
An example café day
Try a relaxed selection while the first orders come in. Leave enough room for the person ordering and the barista to hear each other.
Schedule a channel change for the busier part of the day. More energy need not mean more volume: check it with the room occupied.
If your café serves dinner or wine, choose a steadier pace for longer conversations. A daytime-only café can simply keep its preferred channel.
The owner sets the channels and schedule; the team opens the location’s player link. Keep the player on the venue’s device, rather than handing over somebody’s personal music account with each shift. Recheck the room after moving speakers or rearranging tables.
This English page serves more than one market. Select the venue’s country beside the prices; the page language does not set its licensing rules.
For a US café, identify the actual repertoire and relevant ASCAP, BMI, SESAC or GMR coverage. For a UK café, check PPL PRS requirements for the music you use. Radio, live events and outdoor areas need their own review; the subscription covers the Oktava catalogue.
One location or a whole network. Find a starting point for your space.
A certificate for your business, a staff memo and a playback log, together in your account.
Issued to your legal entity, with a number, validity dates and a QR code that leads to a public verification page.
Certificate sample →One page that tells your team what to say when someone asks about the music in the room.
An append-only record of every track played at your location — exportable whenever you need it.
Every feature is included in the one price — there are no tiers to compare. The subscription covers the full catalog with all channels, a certificate issued to your legal entity with QR verification, the staff memo, an append-only playback log with CSV export, and a player that keeps playing offline on any device with a browser. The same price replaces both the society fees and a music service subscription: the catalog is outside society repertoires, so nothing extra is owed for the music. Each location gets its own player link and its own line in the subscription; the annual plan adds two months free, and networks get a discount automatically at checkout — 10% per location from two locations, 20% from five. The trial lasts 7 days with no card, and you can cancel anytime — the paid period stays yours.

Oktava has its own catalogue. Use the previews to judge whether the sound fits your café; choose another solution if recognisable artists are essential to your concept.
Yes. Set channel changes in the schedule for your actual service hours. The examples here are starting points, not a requirement to change music three times a day.
Listen in both areas. Outdoor use and separate sound areas can have different practical and licensing requirements; check the setup before treating them as one location.
